Passports and Visas ...

A 10-year passport is required for travel outside the UK. Please note that certain destinations insist on at least 6 months validity from the return date. Visas may be required for entry into non-EU countries.

Also make sure you take your insurance documentation with you and a note of the emergency contact number of your insurance provider in case you need this when you are away.
