Business Class Flat-Bed Seats
Many airlines have, or are in the process of installing Flat-Bed Seating in their Business Class Cabins. There are 2 types of Flat-Bed and the 2 should not be confused with each other.
A True Flat-Bed seat can be described as providing a proper horizontal sleep surface. A Lie-Flat seat is ANGLED. This means that although the seat may be fully reclined, you are tilted downwards in a flat surface mode.

You will also see references to ‘Sleeper Seats’. This term is used to describe seats which are almost flat like an Angled, Lie-Flat seat but not totally. They deserve a mention as they are better than the traditional ‘cradle’ style business class seat which some airlines still operate.
